About

1998_382995598500327_1877698002_nHi, I’m Maryann :) I spent most of my first seven years as a preacher’s kid living in a country parsonage in Turlock, California before my family moved back to Modesto, where I was born. I grew up there until I moved with my husband, Lee, to his first duty station at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, where our boys Ethan and David were born. Shortly after Lee’s deployment to Panama and just before 9-11, Lee reenlisted to Ft. Huachuca, Arizona and we bought our first home in Hereford, where we lived after Lee exited the military. We owned four acres of mesquite tree and cactus covered land, and loved the quail, road runners, monsoons, and sunsets. Eventually we decided we wanted to move closer to our Modesto family, so we sold our home and moved to Ft. Hunter-Liggett, California for a year before buying a home in Modesto. We’ve been here ever since.

I love apologetics, philosophy, and writing. I worked in autism as a para-educator for five years with Stanislaus County Office of Education, and earned an associate degree in Humanities through Modesto Junior College. I also hold a Certificate in Christian Apologetics through Biola University. I was the original admin of the Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) group blog from July of 2012 to April of 2015, served as President of the CAA June 1 of 2014 to September 3 of 2015, and currently coordinate the development of its Catechism.
