If you arrived at this page from The Jessamine Journal, this is not the right place for donating to Bethany Hardman’s fund. The funeral home misunderstood my request for information, and posted the signature of my email. They and Randy are aware of the error and all have done what we could to correct it. Go here to donate to the children of Randy & Bethany Hardman.

Here is a page set up for Bethany and here is a beautiful sermon in memory of Bethany. Her life is worthy of celebration.

I lift up Randy, Lilli (10 months), Noah (3 yrs), and all impacted by this terrible tragedy.

Adding A Canonical Link

Hello…this is a brief tutorial on how to add a “canonical link” to the source of a blog post whose content consists of an off-site blog post. This is important because search engines will not list duplicate content. If you add a canonical link to every copy except the original blog post, you keep search engines happy with all the sites involved.

You know what’s really great about demonstrations? They help you understand how to do things by showing you, instead of ranting endlessly about theory.

If you look below the box where these words appear, you will see the word “Canonical” above the words “Canonical link for this page” which are to the left of the address “http://ichthus77.com/2013/05/13/adding-a-canonical-link” <—that is the canonical link. It is not enough to simply type:

But, what if you don’t know where to start?

Suggestion: Organize your to-do list in order of priority.

Here is a suggested priority list:
1. God. 2. Spouse. 3. Children. 4. Work. 5. Learn. 6. Self. 7. Extended family. 8. Friends. 9. Church. 10. Community.

Amend this list to match your priorities. You might move 6 further down the list for urgent needs. Hope that helps you get started!

There are a few things to look forward to on December 22nd, 2012:

1) It will bring about a brief pause in people talking about "the end" (until people start setting new dates).
2) It will rid the world of loads of badly written and poorly researched books.
3) Groups of people will start living their lives again instead of cowering in fear and dread fostered by said books.

Tasty-Easy Chicken Dinner-in-a-Hurry Casserole

I don’t put cheese on the tots, but tots on the cheese…

This is a variation of a recipe I found a long time ago that calls for hamburger instead of chicken, mushroom soup instead of celery soup, and doesn’t make you cook the tots first, so they end up mushy (and uses onion soup mix–I don’t use any spices at all in this, and it’s delicious). Crispy is muy, muy importante, so DO cook the tots first, thaw the chicken in the microwave while the tots cook, and get a lot done while you’re waiting to throw everything into the casserole dish and shove it in the oven in a mad rush. Our family loves how juicy this leaves the chicken, and how delicious the whole thing is without even adding any spices. Thaw and crisp stuff the night before if you need to have this done fast the next day. [You don't even have to bake it, really--you can throw it all in a pot if you're going for REALLY fast...just make sure you cook the chicken in a little oil, once the tots are almost crispy, and before you toss in everything else. Cook the chicken and crisp the tots the night before, for LIGHTNING fast.]

Super easy as-is, with no night-before prep-work…

1 bag frozen chicken breasts, thawed (boneless, skinless)
1 bag frozen mixed veggies (corn, peas, carrots, green beans)
1 can cream of celery soup
1 lb. shredded cheddar
1 bag CRISPY-BAKED (not a brand; do it) tater tots

Add the above ingredients into a casserole dish in the order listed. You don’t have to cut up the chicken, but you can if you have time. I don’t.

Bake uncovered @ 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.
